addictive to facebook.

how addicted are you?  Facebook for me is something i rely on but not as much as some people. But i was more addictive than what i thought i was. Facebook is part of my daily routine i use it when i wake up, when i get bored, and before i go to sleep. Im not so addictive that i obsess about my likes or comments and i especially do not friend someone just so i have "tons" of friends matter of fact, i have a total of 90 friends and they are majority family members and some friends either from high school or current friends. My thought is if someone does not speak to me in person, then why would i friend them on facebook?  Find out below how addictive you are to facebook! http://www.techaddiction.ca/facebook-addiction-test-symptoms.html

how social media made me happier.

So many wonderful outcomes can happen using social media. I love seeing different stories about how people use social media to find a long lost friend, helping someone by sharing their post helping them find it, siblings who were seperated at birth, or anything happy just in general. This is my favorite thing about social media, there are so many different positive effects.  Here are my two favorite stories of my own:  I was in the gym one day minding my business and i noticed a man in there working out as well, not think much of it i did my own thing and he did his. Later on that evening i recieved a follow request and because i seen him at the gym i followed back, later on he proceeded to message me and long story short we are married! Using twitter actually helped Johnny (my husband) by letting that be his way of communicating with me because if it werent for social media I might have not ever seen him again because he played college baseball in another state ...

Privacy on facebook.

Do you ever scroll through social media and wonder why some people post the things that they post? I know I do and i am very guilty of being one of those people.  Social media is a wonderful outlook to interact with friends and family, and most people are very quick to post personal information about themselves. Posting and keeping your friends updated is nice, but you never know who is watching. It is actually kind of scary how someone can use social media to find out so much information about someone or even scarier.... YOURSELF!  I am guilty of being one of those who posts everything about them self, Ive actaully had a situation where someone was stalking my account so much they knew all this personal information about me and were telling people about it and even worse my husband and I have some family drama and it was posted all over social media! Once I caught word about this, I deleted all my social media and made new. I am very cautious about what I post and...

Why you cannot win an argument on social media:  Have you ever voiced your opinion using social media? whether is sharing a post you firmly believe in or making a general post about something? that someone automatically takes an "offense to" or doesn't agree with and they call you out and try to prove to you that you are wrong? According to this link  https://news.avclub.com/why-you-cannot-win-an-argument-on-the-internet-accordi-1798255937  it states how an argument using social media is impossible to win. Social media is a place where everyone shares their new ideas or even their own opinions, but there is the one person out there that will try and persuade you into thinking the way they think and will try to tell you how wrong that you are and every try and prove by sending different facts or information. Of course winning an argument online is easy because you have any type of information you need by the touch of your hands, where as if you were in person it w...

social media & politics.

Image
social media & politics: When it's time for election, is you social media feed over loaded with politics?  Social media can be such a bad outlook for information at time and especially closer to the time for election, many candidates use social media to not only campaign themselves but to also put their other candidates down. Social Media is actually annoying during the election, only because it's a pace where everyone voices their opinions about other peoples opinions. For me, social media was a place I went to interact with friends and family and when it was time for the election I honestly never used it simply because I was tired of my it all being overloaded with politics. Facebook can be a place where fake news is spread like wild fire and many people are quick to believe it and share the information they find. Everyones opinion is different and not everyone agrees but social media isn't the place to voice your opinion and tell someone they are wrong bec...

Does technology really warp our minds?

Image
How much do you rely on technology?  Technology: Where we can find out any piece of information by the palm of our hands!  Technology is actually warping our minds! Check out how by clicking this article below How technology is warping your memory. I didn't realize how the majority of us let technology control our daily lives and how it is actually effecting the way we live our lives! We begin to use technology so much they we don't need and even have to remember anything because its easy to find with technology being available by the palm of our hands. Technology is a distraction and it makes it difficult to make memories. For example: more people are worried about talking to their friends, looking through social media, and talking on their phones instead of living in a moment!  Do you think technology is a bad thing?  I think there is a limit within technology, meaning when and when you shouldn't use it. Without technology I wouldn't be able to w...

will social media be around much longer ?

Will social media be around much longer?  Social media is a good outlet for communication and catching up with people you may not have had contact with for a long period of time. In high school I could remember that none of my friends had Facebook but were talking about twitter, I noticed that majority of my friends parents had Facebook and used it to catch up with friends from high school. I didn't think I would enjoy twitter so I decided to try Facebook and none of my friends besides maybe two or three had one and then before I knew it everyone had a Facebook.  I have always been a Facebook user, but I noticed that now its used for the spread of fake news and politics and because of it, I don't think people will want to continue to use it. Facebook has lost nearly 80% of its users since 2017 and I believe that it will continue to drop because Facebook is not like it use to be.  Is Facebook and twitter just a fad? Myspace was the popular source of social m...
